I enjoyed reading your comments this morning. If you ever want to explore what's important about life, I would recommend that you read two books. One is a play by Thornton Wilder called, "Our Town." The other is a fictional memoir by Ray Bradbury and novelize the summer he was 12.The book is called DANDELION WINE.
Thank you for reading, Sandy! Iβm so glad you stopped by. And I appreciate the reading recommendations. Itβs a challenge to keep up with all of the great writing out there.π
Thank you for sharing such a touching tribute to your late husband, Mary, and Iβm so sorry for your loss. Your words are infused with the profound depth of your love, along with the true depth of your grief. So much of what youβve shared here resonates with my experience of losing my Dad, down to keeping his favourite pyjamas and holding them to my face to feel close to him. My mum, sister and husband each kept one of Dadβs jumpers, and to this day (more than 5 years after he died), I still do a double-take anytime one of them wears one! These small reminders of loved ones weβve lost are what we hold onto, right? Bittersweet, but weβll take the bitter if we get the little doses of sweet π Tiffany, thank you too for sharing this!
A brilliant bit of writing, Mary, based on a shared life, brightly-lived. So, so good.
Thank you so much, Kim. Iβm glad this piece spoke to you. ππ«Άπ
Mary, I'm thrilled you agreed to write a guest piece. Thank you so much - even more for your kindness and friendship. It's worth more than words.
Tiffany, it was a great honor. And a great privilege to call you my friend. Love and gratitude to you.ππ«Άπ
